The Alabama Association for Young Children (AAYC) promotes quality early education for young children (zero through eight years) and their families through education, legislation, and collaboration with groups that have similar goals.
- To stimulate interest in and to increase awareness of the needs of young children and their families in Alabama and to encourage coordination of all efforts concerned in this endeavor.
- To stimulate professional growth among persons working with young children and their families.
To advocate for the provision of developmentally and culturally appropriate practices for all young children in the state.
